And, of course, for those who are a bit more seasoned, plenty of time and care can be given to your unique practice needs.

With roots in a rural community, Michael’s yoga journey began at a gym and has continued all over the world. He founded miDCity Yoga, apprenticed in Iyengar and Ashtanga Yoga, and established DC Ashtanga. His training includes a 200-hour Sivananda Yoga accreditation and Level 2 Ashtanga authorization from KPJ Ashtanga Yoga Institute, India, as well as a certification in functional range conditioning. Michael’s multifaceted interests include CrossFit, running, paddleboarding, and a unique sense of humor. Experience his expertise and engaging teaching style on this transformative retreat.

I’m a level 2 authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher and a certified functional movement specialist. My mission is to educate and empower folks with effective tools and systems to live a more fulfilling life. I use my experience with yoga to do just that.
