Semester Enrichment โ Spring 2029
Sixteen weeks, 4 February to 27 May 2029, off Easter Sunday. Two cohorts โ Functional Primary and Functional Intermediate โ each with its own count, plus Asana Theory and the FRC intro for both. Four seats per cohort.
The spring season. Sixteen weeks, 4 February to 27 May 2029, off Easter Sunday. Two cohorts running side by side โ one inside Primary, one inside Intermediate โ each with its own count, and the same theory and joint work for both.
Two cohorts, two series
Cohort 1 โ Functional Primary. Yoga Chikitsa, posture by posture, looked at as a set of joint demands rather than shapes to arrive at. The standing sequence built properly, the seated fold, the Marichyasana bind clinic, the lift, and Kurmasana, which is the crux.
Cohort 2 โ Functional Intermediate. Nadi Shodhana, taken seriously: the squat, twist and bind at the door, the prone backbends, the three-week Kapotasana arc, leg-behind-head, the arm balances, and the seven headstands.
Each week
Every week you get a set, and you have until Sunday to work through it: the postures of the week in four lanes โ Therapeutic, Restorative, Maintenance and Challenge โ the vinyasa count for exactly those postures, two short lessons from the Functional Range Conditioning intro, and a run of Asana Theory. It lands in your ledger on Ashtanga Tech with a link into each lesson and a tick for when it’s done. By the end of the season you have been through the whole of your series, the whole of its count, and the whole of both supporting courses, once, in order.
What you get
- Sixteen sessions in your series โ workshop format. We take the week’s material apart, build it back up, and put it in the count.
- Your Functional course on Ashtanga Tech โ a page per posture, yours to keep โ plus Learn the Count, Asana Theory and the Functional Range Conditioning intro
- Your ledger โ the week’s set, due by Sunday, every week of the season
- Eighteen letters โ one each week, plus a welcome and a closing letter
- The workbook, and a mid-term self-practice checkpoint
- Functional Ashtanga: The Method and the Manifesto โ the book, yours to keep
What runs through every session
The count โ taught first, asana second. Tristana โ breath, bandha, drishti. Most Viable Posture โ every shape is a spectrum, not a target; you work the version you can breathe in today. Challenge means more load, more time, less support โ not more depth.
Three rules
Don’t hurt yourself. Be honest. Try to have a good time. In that order, and I mean all three.
Who it is for
Cohort 1: practitioners building the root of the method, and anyone whose Primary has gone quiet on them. Cohort 2: practitioners with a steady Primary who are ready to be asked a harder question. Four seats in each.
