Sixteen weeks working Intermediate Series alongside Advanced A. The same principle each week at both amplitudes — Second Series taken seriously, then followed into Third, where the method stops being polite about it.

Nadi Shodhana into Sthira Bhaga: backbends, leg-behind-head, arm balances and the seven headstands, worked against the demands of side balances, lotus presses and the deep backbends.

Five threads, three passes

There are only five things happening in this method: the Fold (hip flexion and compression), the Bind (rotation and the shoulder), the Lift (bandha and the arm balance), the Arch (spinal extension) and the Thread (external rotation and the open hip).

We go around all five three times. First the shape — where each movement comes from. Then under load — more weight, more time, less support. Then in combination, two at a time, because that is what the harder series actually are. Every idea returns twice, five weeks apart, deeper each time. The gap is deliberate: long enough to half-forget, which is when relearning does the most good.

Four modules

  1. First Pass · The Shape — weeks 1–5
  2. Second Pass · Under Load — weeks 6–10
  3. Third Pass · In Combination — weeks 11–15
  4. Integration — week 16, everything back in the count

What you get

  • Sixteen sessions — workshop format. We take the week’s material apart, build it back up, and put it in the count.
  • The Integrated Intermediate to Advanced course on Ashtanga Tech — a page per week, yours to keep. See the course
  • Eighteen letters — one each week, plus a welcome and a closing letter.
  • An FRC joint-prep layer for the hardest demand of each week.
  • The workbook, and a mid-term self-practice checkpoint.
  • Mechanism, Not Magic: The Yoga of Leadership — the book, yours to keep.

The book

Mechanism, Not Magic: The Yoga of Leadership comes with this program. The thinking underneath the practice — yoga as a way of thinking clearly and leading honestly, on and off the mat.

What runs through every session

The count — taught first, asana second. Tristana — breath, bandha, drishti. Most Viable Posture — every shape is a spectrum, not a target; you work the version you can breathe in today, through four lanes: Therapeutic, Restorative, Maintenance and Challenge. Challenge means more load, more time, less support — not more depth.

Three rules

Don’t hurt yourself. Be honest. Try to have a good time. In that order.
